Your Digital Agency and Give: Better Together

Your Digital Agency and Give: Better Together

Implementing third-party technology for your clients can be risky. Will your client be satisfied? Will the new data be easily integrated with current customer data?

Will we hit our timeline estimates? Often, one of those questions is enough to derail those everyday client requests.

Regardless of what’s shared at networking hours or the local ad club, when operating as a marketing, technology, freelance, or full-service agency, strutting the fine line of WOW and ensuring your creative wheels continue turning is both art and science. And when it comes to cause marketing or campaign development, our Donation Plugin can weave into your operations with ease.

Give Agency ops to plan for success

  • Define a process and business plan
  • Develop a unique approach to audience or data
  • Specify a target
  • Discover insights and share use cases
  • Sponsor events locally

And for some:

  • Track billable hours
  • Set fixed travel expenses
  • Require monthly profitability by Client reports
  • Set standards for a new agency management system
  • Ask for rebates from publishers and other agencies

Give delivers on your goals.

  1. Delivering the WOW
  2. Maintaining profitability

Once, I was an ad man.

And today, I’m glad to be part of Give, helping you empower your clients’ cause marketing campaigns.

When we built Give in 2014, we put our customer-centric, data-driven hats on and asked,

“Who is our customer?”

As a boost, our team had good data from our previous Business Reviews suite and WooCommerce Quick checkout customers. With that direction we were convinced our customers were likely developers, site admins, or freelancers.

In 2014, the word “Marketing Agency” instilled anxiety at Give. Likely, because we considered you too demanding or pompous. And as an agency, you may be fired by that same client a few months after, orphaning our code into the wild.

Turns out, we’re a great fit!

A recent analysis of our first 1,700 premium customers revealed that WordPress/marketing agencies are 37% of our premium customer base.

Why we like each other?

  1. Seems we both like to help folks own their own campaigns and scale with ease
  2. Smaller and nimble, with the possibilities of WordPress, impress in meetings and demos
  3. Storytelling and learning are a pastime for each other

In the spirit of the good, old-fashioned use case, here’s the spec on how Give can help:

Deliver on the WOW:

  1. Customizable forms
  2. Priority Support Team
  3. Thousands of Use Cases
  4. We have Presentations for sales, to boot!
  5. Implement Cause Marketing campaigns easily (without agency tech red tape)
  6. Account Manager and Strategist friendly

Deliver on Profit:

  1. Less than $25/mo, all-in, to use our most robust add-ons
  2. “Time to market” can be a few “internal development hours”
  3. Billable hours can scale through Add-ons
  4. No tricky payment gateway hookups (works right within Client WP-Admin)

Don’t just take our word for it.

We also talked to a few of the 600+ marketing and technology agencies that currently use Give.

Here’s what we heard:

“Our clients needed an online donation solution that is reliable, flexible and easy to use. Give exceeded our requirements and surpassed all expectations. The development team has been incredibly responsive and friendly. Give has become the cornerstone our nonprofit clients’ online fundraising efforts.” ~ Greg Mount, President, Pasada Media

“I recommend Give for any nonprofit project for many reasons. The first is that Give saves TONS of money over time. Even with the low price tag (free) it doesn’t lack in powerful features. It’s also great for site managers and administrators because you can manage your site and donations, check and export report all in one place. Finally, being a developer I appreciate the fact that with Give, you own the software, which means you can customize it, and the data, so everything stays in your own hands.” ~ Austin Gill, Developer, Visceral

“Our client, Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries, got a partial grant to build a community playground, and needed to raise the rest of the funds. We implemented Give on their newly-redesigned website. The client loved that we were able to name the giving levels – Wood Chips Level, $25; Slide Level, $100; Monkey Bars Level, $250 – and also really liked the progress “thermometer.” There were a few “how do I do X?” issues, as there often are when working with a new plugin, but they were either easily figured out, or the support team was great with speedy replies. We had one issue with emails not sending, but escalated support helped us work that out within a day or two.” — Bet Hanon, Founder/Director of Bet Hannon Marketing

Here are two highlights:

“I’m using this for a Animal Rescue site and it works flawlessly. Has great features and a beautiful design. I definitely look forward to using their commercial Add-ons so I can show support for this project.” By belakbox

“Simple, easy donations. This is really the best plugin out there for accepting simple donations. Adding the Recurring donations and Form Field Manager add-ons can help to create a fairly robust donations management system for all but the most complex needs. The plugin is under active development, the code is extensible and my experiences with the support team have been superb.” By Mike Gillihan

Do Marketing. Have Fun. Deliver WOW.

Next time you’re in a client planning meeting, bring up Give. Share a demo or use case. Better yet, share one of our Give stories. It will likely get you promoted (we promise) and help your client implement something worthwhile.

If you have to wake up and “do marketing” it should be fun and do good. Oh yeah, and deliver WOW and profit, too.
