The Event Tickets block has arrived for GiveWP! This addition is in response to one of our users’ most sought-after requests: the ability to sell tickets via donation forms. Our new Event Tickets block feature lets you add tickets (free or paid) to your donation forms, so you can offer tickets to your events and accept donations at the same time. We’re not stopping there — we’re committed to creating an even more comprehensive solution for you.
Introducing the Event Tickets Block Beta
We’re excited to announce that the new Event Tickets block features are currently available for free in GiveWP as a beta version. This means that we are still refining the Event Tickets experience to meet our standards, but we have reached a stage where you can start using it.

By opting into the Events Ticket block Beta, you can gain early access to the feature while playing a crucial role in further refining it. Your insights help us make informed decisions to ensure the final product meets your needs.
How to Access the Event Tickets Block Beta
To try the Event Tickets block Beta, log in as an admin on your website and opt-in to Event Tickets in the Beta Features section of your GiveWP Settings. Look for prompts within GiveWP to assist you.
Eventually, these features will be present in GiveWP by default, and you will not have to opt in to use them. We want to collect your feedback first.
How to Use the New Event Tickets Block Features
Once you’ve opted into the beta, you will see “Event Tickets” in your GiveWP menu. From there, you can create events and integrate tickets into your donation forms. Once you sell some tickets, you will also be able to see attendees.
To sell tickets, you must add the Event Tickets block to a form. This can only be done in the Visual Donation Form Builder. The feature is not compatible with the option-oriented form editor.
In the Event Tickets block, you can select any event you’ve already created. If you have not created an event yet, you will see a link in the block settings to do so.
How to Give Feedback for the Event Tickets Block Beta
The primary goal for offering the ticketing feature as a beta is to collect your feedback and use it to improve and finalize our ticketing solution. We’ve created a dedicated space for you to share your thoughts, suggestions, and any issues you encounter directly in our customer feedback forum.
Looking Ahead: Integration with The Events Calendar
The current set of Event fundraising features serves the basic need of adding event tickets to donation forms. We understand that some organizations need more robust event management features. To serve that need, our next step will be to explore an integration with Event Tickets by The Events Calendar.
The TEC plugin offers more robust ticket and attendee management options. You can currently use TEC’s Event Tickets block on your website pages, but it is not yet compatible with GiveWP donation forms. In the coming months, we will work with the TEC team to understand how we can connect our products to enhance your events and ticketing experience.
