At GiveWP, 2020 is the year of free add-ons! Thanks to users like you, we’ve had plenty of feedback to create a few add-ons that enhance your donation forms.

This year, we’re releasing a series of free add-ons as often as we can in addition to our regular development schedule. We have quite a few in mind that we think you’ll love. You can expect four to ten new FREE add-ons between now and 2021.

Why Create Free GiveWP Add-ons?

Over the years, our users have asked for a variety of small tweaks to customize their donation plugin features. Usually we send back instructions on how they can use our GiveWP Snippet Library to do it themselves. After so many requests for the same features, we decided it’s best to provide our own GiveWP customizations as free add-ons.

Plus, we want to lead with our actions and democratize generosity with our CODE as well. We stand by our values and hope to continue coding for good for years to come.

Introducing Simple Social Shout for GiveWP

To kick off the free GiveWP add-on initiative, we released Simple Social Shout for GiveWP.

Simple Social Shout for GiveWP allows you to add a simple social sharing button to your donation receipts.

The donation confirmation page shows social sharing icons above the receipt.

This new add-on allows you to

  • Set a custom prompt for your donors to share their donation,
  • Enable or disable the ability to share from each form,
  • And choose the positioning on the page (above or below the donation receipt).

Sharing donations is an important form of social proof that will inspire others. Install and activate Simple Social Shout on your WordPress website today to help spread the word about your cause.

What Simple Add-ons Would You Like to See?

Our next few free add-ons will be determined by user feedback. January 2020 voters asked for Per Form Confirmations for GiveWP. Visit that article to get your vote in for the next free add-on.
