Give allows your donors to make their donations using Authorize.Net eCheck. eCheck is an ACH transaction that securely processes the donations using a donor’s bank account information routing and checking numbers.

Authorize.Net eCheck account is great because it has a much lower per-transaction fee however it is not enabled by default for new Authorize.Net accounts. In order to get started accepting eCheck you will first need to have it enabled.

Enable eCheck for your Authorize.Net Merchant Account

First, apply to Authorize.Net for the ability to use eCheck.

Here are the walkthrough steps to accomplish this:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Account in the top navigation.
  3. Click Merchant Profile from the main left sidebar menu.
  4. To the right of eCheck.Net, click Sign Up.
  5. Complete and submit the online application for eCheck.

Once you have received confirmation and eCheck is enabled in your Merchant Account and you’re all set on the Authorize.Net side.

How to Enable Authorize.Net eCheck within Give

To set up eCheck in Give, navigate to Donations > Settings > Payment Gateways. Then enable the Authorize.Net eCheck (ACH) option. There is nothing else you will need to enable in the backend of Give as long as your Authorize.Net account is set up to handle eCheck transactions as described above.
