Political donations are made easy, regardless of finance law, with Give. It’s easy to comply and collect today.
As a student of politics, regardless of party affiliation, I was inspired by Howard Dean and his rise to prominence through the web and use of Meetup.com. If you pay attention to U.S. Presidential politics you will know that Bernie Sanders toughed it out in his primary through small donors, as well.
But politics, as pros know, is as local as it is national. In the U.S alone, tens of thousands of elections occur year. All candidates have one thing in common: they need donors to support their movement.
For Jamie Schmale, a member of the Canadian House of Commons, there is no difference. Like many politicians across U.S. and Canada, accepting online donations is more difficult than some might think.
Both Canada and the U.S. have different election and reporting laws and manners in which they can house an online donation form.
For Andrea Coombs, one of Jamie’s staff, finding the right donation solution required research. Andrea began appropriately, by first selecting her web content management system. She chose WordPress.
