Thom was paralyzed from the chest down in a motorcycle accident. Thom needs a specially equipped van for daily travel needs. Thom’s friends used Give to help him out. Here’s their story.
Thom was in a really bad motorcycle accident three years ago. He was paralyzed from the chest down. He found a job and a company to modify a van for him, but he had to provide the van. Blue Steele Solutions agreed to build him a website for free.
Their goal is to help him get an ADA-accessible van by raising $37,000.
About the Wheels for Thom Campaign
Once Blue Steele Solutions built Thom a website, they put Give on every page.
Although it’s a simple website, they were able to raise almost $3000 in under a week! Admittedly, they have a high goal, but Give has given them the ability to raise money for Thom without losing a bunch of the money to fees.
Campaign Result? Hope.
$3000 raised in less than a week.
But that’s not the most impressive result. The result in one week is hope. Thom has hope.
“[Thom] was struggling to find the motivation to raise it, or even think about raising it.”
Now that Thom sees what is possible through this campaign, it has motivated him. He has hope. He already senses the support in the Denton community. It’s encouraging.
“That change of heart is propelling him forward to finally move on with his life. That’s the campaign result—one life back on track. And we couldn’t have done it without Give.”
