Campaign Block

The Campaign Block provides a way to display details from a fundraising campaign on any page or post on your website using WordPress blocks (also known as Gutenberg blocks).

Add a Campaign Block to a Page

As long as you have at least one live campaign, you can use the Campaign Block to display it anywhere on your website.

  1. Open the page or post you’d like to add the Campaign Block to, and make sure you’re using the WordPress Block Editor.
  2. Open the block menu, and search for “campaign.”
  3. Drag the Campaign Block onto your page, wherever you’d like to place it.
  4. Choose the Campaign you want to display on your page, and Confirm.
  5. Save your changes, and view the results on your live page!

Campaign Block Settings

Since the Campaign Block pulls information from a campaign you created, there is no need to update content. Just select a campaign, and you’re good to go! However, you can choose which pieces of campaign information you want to share, giving you the power to configure information on your page however you want.

Select a Campaign

This is the primary setting for this block and required for the block to display on a page. It starts with a campaign selected by default, so the block will always work, but you need to make a selection if you want to show a different campaign. You can change which campaign to show at any time!

Display Elements

These settings allow you to toggle on/off any campaign information the Campaign Block shows. All of this information is configured in the campaign details found in your Campaign Settings page in the admin.

  • Show campaign image: When toggled on, this automatically displays the cover image you have set for your campaign.
  • Show description: When toggled on, this automatically displays the description you have set for your campaign.
  • Show goal: When toggled on, this automatically displays the goal you have set for your campaign.

Change the Campaign Details

When you’re configuring your block settings, you might find that you want to change something about the campaign details that are shown. Maybe you want to use a different image or edit the description or goal. You can do that! Use the Edit campaign link underneath the Select a Campaign drop-down inside the block settings. That will take you to the admin page where you can edit your campaign details.

The Campaign Block automatically links to your Campaign Page. This is the landing page that is automatically generated for your campaign when you create it. The Campaign Block was built to work together with that page, and that is currently the only destination the block is linked to.

If you delete or unpublish the Campaign Page, the block link has nowhere to go. The block will still display on your page, it just won’t be clickable anymore.
