Currency Settings
The global Currency settings allow you to configure which currency all your donations will be received and reported in; as well as the formatting of the currency values.
Where are the Global Currency Settings?
You can find your global GiveWP currency settings by navigating to “Donations > Settings > General (tab) > Currency (sub-menu)”.
Currency: Select your currency from the dropdown. Note that some payment gateways have currency restrictions, and changing the currency here can result in failed transactions.
All GiveWP Currencies
Note: Currency support at the payment gateway is constantly changing, so be sure to check with your gateway for how to change currency settings there to ensure that GiveWP will correctly collect the funds.
Currency Position: Depending on your currency and culture, there are different conventions for where the currency symbol goes. Use this dropdown to set your preference throughout the plugin.
Thousands Separator: For some currencies, it is conventional to use a different separator for thousands.
Decimal Separator: For some currencies, it is conventional to use a different separator for decimals. Use this field to specify the decimal separator for your currency.
Number of Decimals: This controls how many decimal places occur after your main currency amount. For example, the U.S. dollar supports 2 decimals in order to count cents. Note that the Fee Recovery Add-on forces 2 decimal places to be added because of how percentage-based fees add decimals to amounts.
Currency Preview: You can preview the changes made to the currency settings here live as you make it.
